In our English, we have been learning about the Tudors. The Tudors dynasty began in 1485 (when Henry Tudor, from the House of Lancaster, defeated Richard III at the battle of Bosworth Field) until 1603, when the last reigning monarch, Elizabeth I, died. We have been learning about Henry VIII and his six wives which are: Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Kathryn Howard and Catherine Parr.

Henry VIII had three children: Mary I, ruled 1553-1558, Elizabeth I, ruled 1558-1603 and Edward VI, ruled 1547-1553.

Catherine of Aragon gave birth to Mary, Anne Boleyn gave birth to Elizabeth and Jane Seymour gave birth to Edward VI.
