This Week it is Book Week!

Monday

In the morning we had class photos for the school calendar. Our literacy lesson was about a book called Journey. The book had no words but pictures to tell the story.

Tuesday

We started the day off with some maths where we learnt about how to make multiplying numbers together and making it easier. If you need to multiply 9×6, multiply by 10 then subtract one lot of 6.

Wednesday

Today it snowed so we
had a snowman building competition. In maths we learnt the grid method for 2 and 3 digit numbers for example this is 5×34
.

Then you have to add 150+20=170.

Thursday

Today Lily had a cake sale to raise money for the National Autistic Society. Her aim was to raise £30 and we will let you know after the weekend how much money she raised. We practised a rap that we will be performing next week, called the gran rap by Jack Ousbey.

Friday

Today we did French and learnt a new song and dance that was about skeletons. Mrs Atkinson pulled of some fabulous moves 10 out of 10 worthy. In science we learnt about pollination and fertilisation of plants.
