Out of School Club
Richard Taylor C. E. School has a thriving Out of School Club that has been growing since it opened in September 2003. Taylor Grangers is privately owned and managed by Moira Burns and Wendy Thickett who have over forty years childcare experience between them. The club, based in the school hall, is open nearly every day during the term time and is run by a small team of dedicated and experienced staff. The wide range of activities on offer ensure that your child’s time with us will be safe, fun and stimulating. The sessions involve traditional indoor and outdoor activities, allowing lots of time for playing and socialising with the use of playstation and television kept to a minimum. Children are allowed free choice within firm boundaries of good behaviour.
Term time Opening Hours Monday – Friday
Early Breakfast Club 7.30am – includes a choice of juice, milk, fruit, yoghurts, or toast and spreads.

The main entrance to the club is via the double doors leading to the hall, which are situated off the main car park. Please use the doorbell to the left of the door marked Taylor Grangers.
Holiday care is available at our sister club Bilton Grangers based at Bilton Grange C P School which is only a short distance away from Richard Taylor. Although Bilton Grangers is a larger club, you will still see familiar staff there. Children come from many local schools giving everyone the chance to meet and make new friends. During the holidays we offer a wider and more varied range of activities in addition to all the usual choices. Popular themes have included Sports Coaching, visits from people of local interest e.g. RNLI, and Railway Safety, Arts and Crafts, Make your own Lunch, Medieval times, and Holidaying on a Cruise Ship.

Normally children in the infant classes will be collected by a member of the club staff at the end of school.
Every half term all teachers are given a list of who normally attends the club and on which days
Some children do not attend the club on set days or only attend the club occasionally but their names are on the bottom of the list.
Some children’s attendance varies greatly from week to week and although we do our best to inform teachers of any changes, we are not always able to do so. This inevitably means that some children may not be collected from the class by club staff or by their parents! If this happens please bring the child to the club to ask if they are booked in.
If the club is expecting a child who does not turn up, a member of club staff will come and ask the teacher if they know where they are, if they have been in school or if they have gone home with someone.
