Key Stage 2

Our class is made up of all year 3 pupils. Mrs Norman teaches our class on Mondays and Tuesdays, Mrs Heard teaches the class on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Mrs Iveson and Mrs Groves support our class. Mrs Trenam takes us swimming on a Tuesday morning and teaches us art on a Thursday afternoon. Swaledale also work closely with our friends in Nidderdale, studying the same topics and sharing special days together.

In our class we aim to always try our best and be friendly and helpful to everyone. We learn through exciting topics, such as The Romans, Robots, the vile Victorians, Ancient Egypt, Safari and Our Local Area. School trips are exciting opportunities to learn first-hand about these subjects.

In Swaledale we aim to develop confidence and independence as the children start their journey in Key Stage 2. Each child is responsible for a particular job in class and we take pride in being able to work and learn together as a team. Our school values and the 5 areas of well-being are incorporated into our daily learning and the children are encouraged to take an active role in this.

In Swaledale class, we aim to be the very best version of ourselves, in all aspects of school life.
