Nidderdale

There are both Year 3 and Year 4 children in our class and we are taught by Mrs Wake. This year Mrs Anthony is our main teaching assistant, but we are lucky enough to have Mrs Trenam, Mrs Howell and Mrs Clarke working with us as well.

This year, our topics are Chocolate, the Rugby League World Cup, Rainforests, Health and Teeth, Ancient Egypt, Local History and Geography. We are visiting the York chocolate Story, Yorkshire Wildlife Park and Knaresborough Castle as part of our topic work. We will be holding a TAG rugby tournament and an Egyptian Day, hosting several ‘Teach the Parents Maths’ afternoons and getting involved a variety of activities throughout the year. Our outdoor games lesson is on a Thursday afternoon, indoor PE on Friday mornings and Y3 go swimming on Tuesday mornings. Mrs Atkinson teaches us French on Thursday afternoons. This year, we have made links with Class 4 of Barham Primary School in Kent.
