This week we have been learning about Lent and its importance in the Christian calendar.
We have started to learn to tell the time and we have also been writing stories. Thank you for helping your child tell the time in the holidays… they will need asking lots of times more!
On World Book Day we enjoyed a story with Mrs Wake and in science we listened to a book about Mary Anning, who was an amazing scientist. She found and studied huge fossils.
Today we had a visit from Tom’s Gran, Mrs Schroder, who read some great poems and helped us learn more about writing and reciting poetry. The school poetry recital was wonderful! Dentdale recited our class poem about a Hairy Scary Castle, complete with sound effects. Everyone was very impressed and Mrs Jackson was very proud of them!
