Thank you to all of you for working so hard

Be Active

Make a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 point balance. Hold it still while you count to 3. Then hop, skip, jump or run in the space you have. This can be on the spot. Then choice a different balance and hold it still while you count to 3 again. Repeat.

You could also join Joe Wicks daily P.E and/or choose a gonoodle dance.

Connect

Back-to back breathing.

Sit back to back with a sibling or parent.

Notice your partners breathing. Is it faster or slower than yours? What happens to your breaths as you sit for a while?

Talk about how your connection felt over time. What changed and why? Listen to each other describe how you felt.

Take Notice

Take your window frame and choose something interesting to observe.

Draw a detailed picture of the thing you have been observing. You could add some words or sentences to add further description.

Twinkl has the phase 2, 3, and 5 sounds mats and tricky word strips which we use to support our independent writing at school. It is also free for home use currently.

Y1’s count in 10’s to 100 and back.

Y1’s -Show your child some 2ps and some 1ps. Show that 2p=2x1p by putting 2 1ps on top of a 2p. Lay out 5 2ps and count in 2’s to calculate how much money there is. Lay out 6 1ps and ask your child to give you 6p using 2ps. Make a shop where things only cost even numbers.

FS and Y! – Play Guess my Number.

Write 3 numbers less than 10 on apiece of paper. Invite your child to guess which number you are thinking about. They can only ask you 1 more than/1 less than or 2 more than/2 less than questions.

Give

Put the picture you drew in a frame and give it to someone. Add a special message.
