We’ve made it to the end of another week of home learning and amazingly, to the end of the term!

This week at home Bishopdale have been learning all about Easter. Many of you enjoyed the story of Puddles and the Happy Easter Day (even my dog, Harley!). I have enjoyed hearing all about how you celebrate Easter at home.
You have been looking for 3D shapes around your house in maths. In phonics you have been recapping the sounds sh, ch, th and ng. You have also been practising the formation of your ladder letters. Check out at the end of the blog to see some of the fabulous egg designs Bishopdale have been sending in for their Expressive Arts and Design assignment.

Over the Easter period I won’t be setting any work. It is a time for you to spend with your family relaxing. There is no expectation for you to be posting anything on SeeSaw over the Easter break or to be engaging in learning activities.

If you do want some simple ideas of things to keep learning ticking over during this time: Share stories, practise your phase 3 tricky words, enjoy some episodes of NumberBlocks and see where you can spot numbers in the world around you. Our school Easter challenge is to use the app ‘PlantNet’ to discover 5 natural objects outside.

Thank you for all your hard work these past two weeks. Enjoy your time off and I look forward to online learning again with you soon.

See below: some pictures from our painting eggs assignment, some links to NumberBlocks episodes on numbers 15-20 you may enjoy watching and talking about and an example of numbers being spotted in the natural world.
