Headteacher’s Blog

Monday 2nd May 2016.

Before looking at the week ahead I would like to thank everyone who came to the school’s assessment information evening last week. It was fantastically supported and I hope informative. We are hoping to have the slides and leaflets available on the school website as soon as possible. Another huge thank you goes to everyone who helped the Friends at the Bilton Gala Stall this year.

The weather caused last week’s Yr2 football final and seed planting with Angela from ASDA to be postponed, new dates to be announced shortly.

This week there are two more sporting events with Orienteering at Rossett High School taking place after school on Tuesday and the Tri-Golf event for children in Yr3/4 being held at Harrogate Golf Club after school on Thursday.

This week we welcome Rev Simon Dowson from St John’s Church who will be visiting Ribblesdale Class in his role as Class Governor on Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday our worship time will celebrate the good work produced by children. A reminder that the national tests for children in Yr6 start next week on Monday 9th May.

As well as a photo of last week’s yellow jersey winners we also have a photo of Rubens and Mallory, the two French students, who spent last week with us.
