We need to start this week by congratulating both of our year 5/6 rounders teams who came 1st and 2nd in last week’s Harrogate tournament. Unfortunately the school can only send one team to the finals which will take place on the 12th July. Thanks to Mrs Saunderson and Mrs Warburton for their efforts in organising the teams. Thank you to all of the parents who came to support.
Another busy week ahead with Ribblesdale and Dentdale classes off to Tropical World on Monday. The rest of the school will be finding out who the super pupils are for June. After school the friends will be holding their final film night of the year for children from Coverdale, Wharfedale and Wensleydale.
The new starters continue their visits to Airedale and Bishopdale through this week as they prepare for September. At the same time the children in year 6 will be busy this week as they perform their musical ‘Ye Ha’. They will be having a dress rehearsal on Tuesday afternoon with performances on Wednesday and Thursday starting at 6.30pm. On Wednesday lunchtime the kitchen will be serving a special fish and chip lunch.
Transition days for children going to Harrogate High School will take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week.
On Friday after school we will be putting all of the remaining lost property on display for anyone who is missing a jumper or coat. Please come and check the pile before we clear out at the end of the year.

A Symonds
