In maths this week we have concentrated on ordering decimals and rounding decimals to the nearest whole number. We have used different units of measure (meters, kilometres, grams and kilograms).

Our literacy work has included writing a description about what space and the Earth looked like from the ISS. We had to include two 2A sentences, ISPACE (Ing, Simile, Prepositions, Adverbs, Conjunctions and Ed/Emotions), different openers and try to use our individual literacy target.

On Wednesday some children went to a Pobble lesson to improve their literacy skills through sport. They had a half session writing and the other half doing martial arts. The rest of the class made banana bread for the Fairtrade coffee morning held in school on Thursday.

Harrogate’s Male Voice Choir came to see Key Stage two on Thursday afternoon and we joined in with some singing. They sounded fantastic. RTS school choir then had a workshop with them.

In art we have recently been working on our competition entries for the Royal Mail Christmas stamp which we will send off to see who has won (if anyone) and the prize is that your stamp will be used for their Christmas stamp.
