In RE and in our worships this week, we have been thinking about Remembrance Day. We have finding out about why we wear poppies and in Art we printed a field of poppies – you can see what they looked like on Seesaw. We had 2 minutes of silence in the playground on Wednesday to remember the soldiers who died in the wars.

In Literacy we have been thinking about traditional tales and writing riddles and had great fun trying to guess the tale and character.

In Maths we are starting to learn different methods to subtract.

We have started to sing some songs for our Christmas nativity, which will be a bit different this year, but we are very excited – watch this space!

On Friday we started the day by exercising with Joe Wicks as he finished his amazing 24hour exercise challenge. Later we made cards as an act of kindness – today is also World Kindness day. In the afternoon we all enjoyed the duck race – our class duck got stuck but tried her best!! Thanks for your contributions for this very worthwhile charity.

Next week Dentdale will be getting any books they have ordered from the book fair. If you haven’t chosen but still want to look, the books are on Seesaw. Don’t forget to bring your order forms!
