Fireworks have been a Dentdale theme this week!
We have learnt about Diwali in RE, a Hindu festival which took place just before the holiday. They celebrate with candles and fireworks. We then thought about the fireworks on November 5th and found out facts about why we celebrate Bonfire Night.
In art we made firework patterns using paint and straws – very exciting!
Today Kevin, a fire fighter, talked to everyone about keeping safe from fire at home and on Bonfire night. He said “Tell your parents to check the fire alarm”. He also told us the Firefighters message for if there is a fire “Get out, stay out, get the fire Brigade out.” We were such great listeners we were able to see the fire engine and lots of the equipment. What fun! Thank you Firefighters!
