Last week was another busy week in school with lots of good news to celebrate.

Our worship theme this half term is “The words of Jesus“. Last week we focussed on Matthew 6 v 25-28, “Do not worry” and took time to enjoy our beautiful environment. Tuesday worship time is led by a member of clergy. Last week The Gospel Hall led our worship and this Tuesday we welcome Alan Crump from The United Reform Church, where we will be thinking about Ascension Sunday as well as Mental Health Week.

This week we will be focussing on Mental Health Awareness week, revisiting the five areas of wellbeing. Nature is the theme this year. We will be taking time to notice and enjoy our beautiful school grounds and wildlife area. Ribblesdale class were delighted to observe the return of the great crested newts last week.

There are lots of useful links ideas on the campaign website https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/campaigns/mental-health-awareness-week

Wednesday is a busy day. Ribblesdale and Dentdale classes will be learning more about Eid celebrations with a special Eid Day. Wednesday afternoons Coverdale class are enjoying Royal Institution Climate Change Masterclasses, led by sixth form students from Chipping Camden. They are pioneering this program, which we hope other schools can benefit from in the future.

Although we are disappointed not to be going to Young Voices on Friday we have already booked for next year! We are also looking forward to celebrating National Music Day on the 21st of June in school.
