Welcome to a busy week at Richard Taylor School.

I would like to start by thanking everyone for their ongoing support as we continue to navigate our way through the current Omicron wave of covid-19. You will automatically be advised if your class has a confirmed case of covid-19 and if this is the case we would recommend daily LFT to identify and prevent further spread though your child’s class. If your child has to self-isolate you will be contacted by school on day one of their absence to confirm the arrangements for supporting them whilst they remain at home. We would not expect any child to access work if they were unwell due to covid-19.

This week we have two performances of the wonderful M&M production of Cinderella for the children to enjoy. The children from KS1 will enjoy the performance on Monday morning with the children in KS2 getting their opportunity on Wednesday afternoon.

On Wednesday morning some of the children in KS2 will be filming a short article explaining why they love living in Harrogate for the Harrogate BID team.

On Thursday morning the children in year five have been invited to share an Eco theatre performance funded by Harrogate Borough Council which promotes the importance and awareness of the need for clean air.

Friday will see the children from Ribblesdale class continue to trial our Forest School project which aims to take more of our learning outside in a fun and adventurous way.

The QR code below will take you to Dentdale Class where the children introduce you to Flora and tell you about their learning in school this week.
