Thank you to everyone who supported Comic Relief Day 2023 at RTS last week. The talent show was a very special occasion enjoyed by all. Special mention to Lollipop Bob for joining in the fun (see photos below)

Monday sees the culmination of our science week project to find out which is the most important animal of all. Every class will present the case for a different animal in a special worship time followed by a whole school vote to decide the winner. Each class has put lots of work into their presentations and it should be a great afternoon; I cannot wait to see who is named the winner.

On Tuesday Ribblesdale and Dentdale are visiting Skipton Castle as part of their history study; they have kindly invited me to join them, and I cannot wait to learn about the castle’s history. Back at school on Tuesday worship time will be led by the team at St John’s Church.

Wednesday sees us celebrating the final ‘Super Pupils’ of the spring term, we always enjoy being able to applaud the achievements of those children specially chosen from every class.

This week is the final week of clubs and after school activities including animation club and chess club. Next week we look forward to welcoming parents into school in person for our spring term parents’ evenings.

Friday is a special day in school as the Friends will be holding their Friends Bunny Bounce sponsored event, please look out for your sponsor form.

Finally, good luck to all the children who will be taking part in the Harrogate and District Individual Junior Chess Championship on Saturday. Special thanks to Mr Rawcliffe our chess coach for all of his hard work this half term.
