Welcome back to school at the start of what is going to be a very different half term from the one which we expected. The announcement at 8pm on Monday gave us very little time to be ready for today, but thanks to the incredible hard work of the staff and the patience and cooperation of our families we are back up and running as a learning community both in the school building and in homes across Bilton and beyond.

On seesaw alone we have registered 461 posts and 455 teacher comments by 1pm on Wednesday which is an incredible start. In addition, todays school worship can also now be found on the seesaw platform, which I hope you can enjoy wherever you see it. In the next few days we will be continuing to grow our online content including the use of live contact between staff and children.

Thank you to everyone who followed the updated advice in wearing a mask or face covering when delivering you children to school this morning. We are determined as a school to keep providing the best education possible for your children whilst ensuring that we do everything possible from allowing the new strain covid-19 virus from closing classes in school.

Please keep in touch via class e mails and the admin address. In the days ahead, we will make contact with all our remote learning families, to check that you have everything you need. We know it is going to be a challenging half term for everyone and we want to play a full part in supporting you.

We greatly appreciate your patience whilst we solve technical problems balance the needs of both the children we have in school and those learning from home.

The value which we are focussing on this week is determination; something which we will all need to show in the weeks ahead. I will end today’s blog with a quote from a very wise bear.
