Sports blog

This week, our school competed in four sports competitions!

Firstly, we had the swimming gala (The Tolly Richardson) and Frankie, who took part, quoted: “The best thing about the swimming gala was our school winning both of the relay races. It was fun when we were all chanting along for our team.” The swimming team came 7th out of 18 schools and we are extremely proud of them.

At the tag rugby competition, we played many matches against lots of schools and won two of them! We came top four, which means we get into the final! Emma says that it was really fun and she was happy she scored a try.

At the weekend, some of our students represented our school wonderfully at the cross-country race; Lucy, who came first in the year 6 girls and Amy, who came 1st in the year 3 girls race will run in the finals at Dalby Forest, so make sure to wish them good luck!

On Monday, our determined year 3 & 4s played in a football tournament; they did fantastically well and didn’t concede a single goal! They came 1st, which means that they will compete in the finals at Harrogate Town soon. Good luck team!

All of our sports teams showed great sportsmanship and did incredibly well. What a great start to the year!
