Welcome back to a new week Swaledale Class. May the 4th be with you!

Thank you for all your hard work last week. We had some super work produced around our theme of birds. We are also loving all your home Science experiments and are impressed with the effort you are putting in with your Maths work. Fantastic!

This week is the 75th anniversary of VE day on Friday 8th May. We would love to see pictures of bunting you have made. You could hang it outside or inside.

You will also find a recipe for VE day victory cake on Mr Symond’s blog. See if you can have a go at baking it. Or maybe you’ll think of your own ideas- a special afternoon tea to share with your family perhaps?

Look out on SeeSaw for some more ideas around the theme of VE day. Then on Friday enjoy the bank holiday and if you can take a moment to reflect on what peace means to you, our country and the world.

Lots of you (and us) enjoyed Wednesday Worship last week and though about what you are thankful for. Look out for another Wednesday worship this week. If you didn’t get chance to catch last week’s the link is still on SeeSaw.

Remember to keep reading, if you need any more books get in touch with school and we will do what we can. Try to keep up with some daily maths and your TT rockstars and some sort of writing activity. Some of you are writing diaries and these will be a lovely thing to look back on in the future. Thank you again for all that you are doing. We know it is not always easy, but we are so proud of each and every one of you.
