Wharfedale Blog 23rd October
Welcome to the Wharfedale blog.
It has been a very busy time in school, with the Harvest festival and Harvest tea for more mature members of our community at the end of last week.
This week began with a very exciting Skype call to Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield! We were very lucky to be able to ask him questions live! He was really friendly and inspriring, he told us about some of his experiences as an astronaut, including completing two space walks! Children from other schools and Stray FM joined us for the special afternoon. It is something we will all remember! A great big thank you to Mrs Crisell for arranging it.
Back in the classroom, we have been working on long division in Maths. In English, we are continuing reading the book Wonder, it has got to a really exciting part, where we are finding out things about different characters which is helping us to understand them more. We are all looking forward to reading some more!
