This week in Wensleydale lots of exciting things have happened like the advent tea, the nativity and making our calendars. So this week has been quite exciting.

Harvest tea

On Monday the year sixes went into the hall and had a cup of tea (some juice) and a biscuit. All the community came and had a good time with all the children. The children enjoyed meeting all these people and having a good look at the children’s work and what they have been doing all year. We all enjoyed meeting each other.

Maths

In maths we have been learning how to times and divide fractions. When you are multiplying fractions it’s a simple case of knowing your tables. When dividing it quite easy you know this one phrase and that is…

KEEP, CHANGE, FLIP!

Keep the first fraction, change divide to multiply, flip the second fraction.

AND THAT’S ALL!

English

In English we have been writing out our newspaper reports on the computer. Our reports were written as B’n’L (Buy ‘n’ Large Newspaper reporters). Our reports we wrote were to tell people about the news on us evacuating Earth to allow the W.A.L.L.Es to clean our planet.
