Monday 5th June, 2023.

I hope that everyone has enjoyed the early summer sunshine last week and is looking forward to a busy last half term of the school year.

This week is national child safety week, and the school has invited two important visitors to speak to the children on Monday. In the morning the performer and speaker Zak Hull will be speaking to the children from yr4 and above about the importance of staying safe online. In the afternoon both KS1 and KS2 will receive important water safety talks from the Canal and Riverboats Trust. Also, on Monday Harrogate Town FC will be continuing to work with children during the afternoon and after school. On Tuesday we welcome Emma James from St John’s to lead our worship, after worship she will be talking to the children in yr6 about the youth groups run by St John’s.

On Wednesday Nidderdale and Swaledale Classes will be visiting Magna Science Museum for what will be a very exciting trip. Mr Groves will be meeting our gardeners again in the afternoon as they prepare their veg box for judging.

We hope that the sun will be shining on Thursday when the classes are having their class photos. The children in Yr6 and EYFS will also be having special group photos which are popular with parents.

On Thursday after school at 6pm we welcome our new parents for September 2023 for an information evening where we will answer any questions and help them to feel prepared for their child’s first day in school.

Finally on Friday we are delighted to welcome Mrs Wake back to school in the afternoon when she will be training some of the children in Coverdale Class to be singing buddies for younger pupils.

The photos below show the Yr5/6 rounders team and the children from Ribblesdale and Dentdale enjoying Eid Day in the last week of the previous half term.
